Rose Ann appears in the 1891 census with her parents, age 20, born in Ontario.
This collaborates the birth date given to me by Jean Huffman.
Note that if she was born in February of 1871, she should be in the 1871 Census.

According to the records of the Jackson Bernard Funeral Home her funeral was paid for by James C. McMillan [probably a typo - should be John C. McMillan], the minister officiating was Rev. R. Stewart, and Dr. Harvey of Espanola was the doctor.

Rose married John Christopher Macmillan, son of John Macmillan and Catherine Bell, before 1891. (John Christopher Macmillan was born on 6 Aug 1869 in Proton Station, Ontario,² died on 22 Sep 1946 ² and was buried in Webbwood, Ontario.)

  Marriage Notes:

The marriage date was originally given to me as 1890. Based on the fact that Rose-Ann is still living with her parents in the 1891 census, AND the fact that their first child, Margaret Olive, was apparently born in 1891, I have determined that the marriage must have taken place (hopefully early!) in 1891. The 1891 Census was taken on April 6 of that year, which only leaves barely 9 months between then and the end of December. Of course it's entirely possible that the birth date I have for Margaret Olive is incorrect.
