Obituary from the Halifax Herald:
MORRISON, JEAN A. - 83, Halifax, died Sunday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James A. Morrison. Following graduation from Mount Allison University, she worked as a social worker for Family Welfare Association, Montreal. During the Second World War, she served in Ottawa and Halifax with Dependents Board of Trustees. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Department of National Health and Welfare. She was an active member of St. Andrew's United Church, United Church Women, Saraguay Club, Nova Scotia Association of Social Workers, executive of Women for Music, University Women's Club, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and Ladies Music Club. She is survived by her nephew, Robert J. Morrison, Montreal; a niece Janet J. Chant, Bedford; three grand-nieces, a grand-nephew. She was predeceased by two brothers, James Eric, George Hawley; a sister, Mollie. The body has been cremated. Memiorial service will be held 3:30pm. Wednesday, St. Andrew's United Church, Rev. Stanley G. MacQueen officiating. Burial in family plot, Amherst at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.

Interment took place Sunday June 4, 1989 at 2pm.
Reception at Wandlyn Inn, Amherst.
