From newspaper notice. The appointment of Lt.-Col. Lorne A. Devine of Quebec to the command of the 7th Canadian Anti-Tank Regiment has just been announced. Lt.-Col. Devine was formerly major and officer commanding of the 57th Battery, R.C.A. He went overseas in the early part of December 1939, and after some months of intensive training in England he was promoted to second in command of the First Anti-Tank Regiment. For some years he was connected with the Old Quebec Swimming and Athletic Club competing against Montreal's best swimmers.

Shown as Lieutenant in March 1926 with training at Royal School of Artillery in Kingston. With 57th (Quebec( Field Battery.

March 26, 1927 shown as Lieutenant with 57th., again at Royal School of Artillery.

July 1930 shown as a Captain, qualified as a Major.
