BERTRIM, Keith - A happy smile is gone forever with the sudden passing of Howard Keith Bertrim on October 28, 2009 in Belleville, Ontario. Keith was born in Belleville on March 22, 1929. He was predeceased by his parents Howard Arnold and Ida Rae Bertrim (Campbell) and sisters Mildred (Jack) Bell and Bing (Doug) Coleman. Keith was much loved by his wife of 58 years, Barbara and their five children, Deborah (George) Butler, Donna (Bryan) Douey, Dyanne (Patrick Frankowski) Perrier, Janice (Jim) Harvey and Keith Jr. (Helen) Bertrim. Keith was also loved by his 13 grandchildren Michelle (Rob) Porter, Richelle "Rick” (Merv) Glenn, Carolyn (Kevin) Baird, Chris (Mary Ham) Porter, Jennifer (John Raina) Perrier, Bryan (Tracey Johnson) Douey, Kristina Douey, Jason (Marissa Quigley) Perrier, Michael Harvey, Kale Bertrim, Christina Harvey, Pheobe Bertrim and Ava Bertrim, as well as 4 great- grandchildren Brandon, Mitchell, Paige and Samantha. Keith had a long and interesting life, working hard for his family in various careers, as well as being involved in many sports as an official, referee for hockey and football, umpire for baseball, over many years. Dad/Grandpa will be missed more than is possible to express, his booming laugh, ready smile, as well as his willingness to share his wisdom and advice to all. Friends are invited to call at the JOHN R. BUSH FUNERAL HOME, 80 Highland Avenue, Belleville (613-968-5588) on Saturday, October 31, 2009 from 1-2 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel immediately following the visitation at 2:00 P.M Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. Howard married Barbara Elsie Theobald, daughter of Bertram (Bertie) James Theobald and Mabel Barbara Sharpe.
